Xmas Turkey Shoot 2013

The Turkey shoot went ahead as planned on Sunday 22nd Dec. It was well attended with 25 Guns. Weather was very cold, windy with passing showers, well done to all those hardy enough to stick with it to the end! The shoot was won by Junior member, Chris Smith, with 23 out of 30. Well done Chris, good score with that wind making some interesting targets....

Steve Smith and Sir John Craster Side by Side Trophy Clay Shoot 27/10/13

The shoot took part at Highlaws on Sunday 27th October 2013. Proper Autumn weather, passing heavy showers with a cool wind that made some of the targets interesting. 9 guns took part, 8 participating in both competitions. Each competition was a 30 bird event. George, Kenn and Robs visit to Montrose Basin Oct 2013

George, Rob and Kenn had their annual week wildfowling at Montrose Basin. About 40,000 Pinkfeet geese were on the Basin at the time. Weather was very mild with no wind all week. We had to put a lot of effort and leg work in to shoot some geese but it was a very enjoyable visit and looking forward to next seasons visit. Note Balaclava worn inside out .
